Pegasus Frontend scraping issue
-
Hello there! I just registered in this forum and im glad to form part of this community. Just to clarify, im spanish i may commit some mistakes writting.
Well last week i found about te pegasus-fe. I installed a clean image on retropie 4.6,configure everything, installed the SwitchOS themd and added just 30 NES and 20 SNES ROMS(from the classic series). The problem is that i dont know how to add those icons to my games, they look great in the videos and i just wanted to have it. Does anyone know a way of doing it since screenscrapers.fr and skrape are down? If some of you have those assets could you please send me them? I can edit with Photoshop the covers but i dont know how to add them in pegasus and edit metadata files. Anyways, thank you for taking some time reading this and im sorry if i did annoy someone with such a big text

@sergioggo96 You can use Skyscraper for scraping the artworks for your ROMs. It supports Pegasus and it can scrape from different scraping sites, so you can choose another source while screenscraper.fr is offline.
You can install Skyscraper from the optioan packages section and then run it with
/opt/retropie/supplementary/skyscraper/Skyscraper

@mitu Hi! I already tried all the ways to scrape roms on the retropie setup and didnt get any result. I used al different pages and it gives me error or doesnt download any archive. I dont know what to do.
btw here is a video showing how it should look like the switchOS theme once it gets scraped:

@sergioggo96 You'll need to use the command line to scrape for Pegasus, the script launched from RetroPie-Setup supports EmulationStation only.
-
@mitu Could you please tell me how to do that? I have some knowledge using commands and all but im a novice. Thank you for your help

@sergioggo96 See the link I posted previously - it documents how to use Skyscraper from the command line.

@mitu Ok, so I followed the document instructions and I was able to scrape from thegamesdb because screenscraper requires credentials. I was able to select the correct frontend and everything went fine. But once i boot pegasus with this theme Switch OS it doesnt appear anything. Any suggestion?

I'm not familiar with Pegasus and its themes, but are you sure you've run the 'generate' gamelist step in Skyscraper, after it downloaded the artwork for your games/roms ?
