      Hello,
I've seen this problem solved for the pi 2 and 3 but what would be the platform name for the pi 4? "rpi4" doesn't seem to work.

      Error message : "Unknown platform - please manually set the __platform variable to one of the following: armv7-mali generic x11 imx6 odroid-c2 android-xu rpi1 rpi1 rpi3 tinker vero4k x86"

      • Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 2019 Quad Core 64 Bit WiFi Bluetooth (4GB)
      • Enokay Raspberry Pi 4 b Power Supply 5V 3A USB C Charger Adapter
      • Wolfanoz Supreme Pro 256 GB Image
      • USB devices - Ultimate Arcade controller, wireless mouse and keyboard adapter
      • Error happens any time I try to run a script from the options menu

Yeah, that's the problem. Use the Pi4 image from retropie.org.uk/download and you'll not have any issues, we don't support 3rd party images.

            Hello
What was the fix that you came up with. I'm getting the same error.
