No audio during game after recent OS update!

Seems like I just have been really unlucky lately as now I'm not getting audio. I get the message (lvl0: VolumeControl::init() - Failed to find mixer elements
Sometimes it shows like 6 lines of it before a game starts. I tried updating Retropie and the Kernel and still nothing. Probably my fault for downloading an update so soon after release! Hopefully someone has some tips for me. It would be MUCH APPRECIATED! -
