MAME Config Screen Lock

I tried posting earlier but failed. I looked for a bit and dont see a solution but may be typing wrong words in. Basically I am putting my RetroPie into a cabinet and dont want someone accidentally hitting buttons on the MAME games when it loads and says hit any button that will bring you into configuration. Is there a way to block players from doing that so I dont have to worry about going in and fixing all the time? I had the same inquiry for the RetroPie software where you can hit a button and that too pops up. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

See the above page. You should be able to use the RetroPie-Setup or RetroPie menu to configure (disable) the Runcommand - Launch Menu option.

@common763 RetroPie has kiosk mode which does exactly this for its interface. You can make changes in full UI and then run in kiosk mode most of the time. You can quickly jump in and out of UI modes.
