What is the MAME ROW?
MAME ROW stands for MAME Random Of the Week. We randomly select an arcade game from the 0.78 MAME Reference Set to play on the week. The idea is to play games we've never played before, interact with other forum members, post hi-scores, share game strategies, fun facts, and (the most important) HAVE FUN!
We will play the winner all next week.

So Dorodon is almost the same as a game I know as Ladybug. (MAME ROW #160 contestant) I love Ladybug. I have no idea what's going on in the example video for Dorodon.
I wonder if I could get Grobda to play like Robotron 2084.
-
Grobda is OK although a kinda "spastic firing tank game".
I'm not sure what the fighting is in Road Fighters. Am I fighting the road? How do I get more fuel?
Edit:
This helped with the basics: https://strategywiki.org/wiki/Road_FighterBeing in the U.S. Road Fighters is completely new to me.

This week's winner is Road Fighter

This post is deleted! -
Here's a crappy score to get us going: 7,850.
-
9040, I was able to get the first fuel car. It's really a memorization game. Everything happens the same way every race. It's just so fast!
-
Grobda is cool too. (6900)
-
21,260, I finally made it to the second section and got on the high score list. I still think my copy is running fast. I have no idea how you're supposed to get far in this game at this speed...but whatever...arcade developers.
-
@iandaemon Slight improvement. (8700)
-
@iandaemon I haven't tried it, but it seems that Grobda would work nice as a trackball game. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? (I'll try when I get home...if I remember.)
-
As simple as Grobda appears to be, it's incredibly addicting. I can easily see this raking in the money in a pizza parlor or snack shop back in the day.
-
no more MAME ROWs? :/
What happened? -
@iandaemon Even though I'm rubbish, Grobda is incredibly addicting. So simple...one more game...ok, just one more go... (10760)
-
@iandaemon I really have to finish that cocktail cabinet rebuild to get back to Grobda.
