please kindly help, its my first post so forgive me if this is asked many times.

but was worried about installing experimental pcsx2 at first because i was told to downgrade.

and so i did and added it to my retropie just to have the ps2 script and run it..
it was bothering me i had to downgrade, so i did a bit of research through the forums here and followed by entering in the terminal

      sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
      then
      sudo apt-get install pcsx2

i am able to play ps2 games but was not sure why i had to downgradein the first place? will this affect my anything in ES or make changes in my PC? and if so what can i do to make sure everything is back and updated?

It's explained in the message in the image.

It's ok, the 'downgrade' means you'll not be using RetroPie's custom SDL2 build, but the SDL2 version shipped with the distro - it's not an issue.
