      Hey guys Im having an issue getting my controller to work with my ps1/psx games. The games load up fine but I cant get past the first screen due to the lack of input. All my other games work fine (nes, snes, n64). I'm running the most recent version of retropie (4.7.3) on a raspberry pi 4. I use a ps4 controller that I connect through bluetooth. I understand theres an issue between games that had the analog support and ones that didnt but I dont know what to do to fix it. I've tried different bios, I messed around with retroarch controlls like changeing my controller type from standard to analog but no luck. Please if you know how to fix this respond back I've got some fire games waiting to be played.

      @grimshrimp

      My guess is you need to turn off the two multitap options in the core options using the RetroArch RGUI or by editing the config file directly.

      To use the RGUI

      • Start a game in PS1
      • Invoke RGUI (default is Hotkey+X with the player 1 controller)
      • Go to Quick Menu and then Options
      • Switch "Show other input settings" to ON
      • Quit RGUI with Hotkey+X
      • Go back in to the RGUI (Hotkey+X with player 1)
      • Go to Quick Menu and then Options
      • Switch Multitap 1 (Restart) to OFF
      • Switch Multitap 2 (Restart) to OFF
      • Go "Back" in RGUI
      • Choose Restart

      All fixed?

      Or if you're comfortable using the command line, press F4 to quit EmulationStation and edit /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg to change both
      pcsx_rearmed_multitap1 and pcsx_rearmed_multitap2 from auto to disabled.

      I got the solution from here: [https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/28676/retroarch-psx-controller-mapping-not-working-post-update/14](link URL)

      If that doesn't work then try reading and following the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first :)

        @busywait
        I did the first method you suggest, the one where I enable other input options, and it's working now thank you so much for the help. I cant wait to start castslevania: symphony of the night. I just have one more question though: will this save to all the other games?
