Retropie Reicast IPAC 2 config
-
Hello,
I have read different topics regarding this setup and there seems to be no solution.
I have recently build my own arcade with my raspberry 4, RetroPie and IPAC 2. It looks like everything is working fine. But like most of us, I would like to have Virtua striker up and running. Therefore I have installed Reicast. But the emulator does not seem to work with the IPAC.
When I use a usb-controller, it works, but not for the IPAC buttons. This is not what a arcade should do be? :-)
Any suggestions?
Pi Model or other hardware: 4B
Power Supply used: yes
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: IPAC and NES controller (even ps2 controller has been attached) -
Is your IPAC configured as a keyboard or as a gamepad ? Did you try using
lr-flycast
instead ofreicast
? -
@mitu It is configured as keyboard.
in other emulators (arcade, genesis, nes, ... it works correctly)Is lr-flycast better? I was trying reicast.

lr-flycast
should be better choice for a Pi4.For Reicast, you'll have to configure the keyboard mapping in
\\retropie\configs\dreamcast\mappings
, I don't think RetroPie automatically configures a keyboard based controller for Reicast.
Or try pressing Tab while in-game and open the settings for the emulator to map the inptus. -
@mitu Thank you...
it works like a charm!!
