      I get the following error in Windows on tightvnc when using dispmanx_vnc:
      No security types supported. Server sent security types, but we don't support any of them.

      The thing is that dispmanx_vnc works perfectly with no issues with tightvnc on a Retropie build (Virtualman), but not on another I'm testing (Wolfanoz).

      Do you by any charge know what OS/Retropie setting needs changing, to get this to work?

      This is the code I'm using to create and run dispmanx_vnc:

      sudo apt-get install libvncserver-dev
      cd
      git clone https://github.com/hanzelpeter/dispmanx_vnc
      cd dispmanx_vnc
      make
      sudo ./dispmanx_vncserver

      Apologies as this relates to custom builds and not Retropie vanilla, I tried everything but I'm not as familiar with this kind of vnc on the PI and this error is driving me insane. Thanks for any pointer you might have.

        We don't support 3rd party images.

          @mitu
          I know, but this shouldn't prevent somebody who might be able to help to comment and hopefully steer me in the right direction.

          Thanks.
