the usbromservice may not work - it's designed for Raspbian not Ubuntu.

Easiest way to load roms is over the network - enable samba or so.

@edmaul69 I have enabled and disabled removed and reinstalled thru the retropie setup menu.

@BuZz would it possibly work if i installed debian?

I've not tested Debian on the odroid and you will likely miss packages required.

The USB Rom Service isn't required for retropie - just use another method to copy your roms across.

Hi, sorry I'm really new to all of this. I have checked for solutions on here but can't find any.
I have a Raspberry Pi 2 model B 1GB an im also having the same issue nothing will write onto the usb drive from the rapberry pi.
I downloaded retropi off your main site onto a formatted SD card an used Win32 to write it onto the card.
I've tried a coulpe of differnet usb drives formatted to FAT32.
They have a folder inside named retropi. When i put the usb into my Pi it fashes a couple of times, I've left it for about 5 mins as suggested to try an make sure.
When I check the stick nothing has been writen onto it from the Pi.
Any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

@shanet94 unfortunately I'm a little dim when it comes to these types of things. I'd love to be able to help but I feel at this point a chocolate tea pot would be more help :) thanks again for your help.
