Emulationstation will not load, until I SSH in, then it loads automatically.

When I turn my pi on, it starts like normal. Splashscreen shows, it gets all the way up to the point where emulationstation should load and then it hangs. The very moment I ssh in from my pc, emulationstation boots. Further, if I exit emulationstation, it uses my ssh terminal (which is blank whilst emulationstation is running.

Guide used: Sooo manySo I've been reading a lot of guides and tweaking a lot of setup files to create a "quiet" boot... Ya know, just splashscreeen, then load emulationstation, right?
Well I messed with every file imaginable, including config.txt, autostart.sh, what's the other one... console.something? I'm not sure. I do know that I messed with some systemstl settings and I think that could have something to do with it. I've tried going into raspi-config and setting it to autostart in emulationstation and I've done the same in the retropie setup script. I've also gone to the retropie setup script and tried reinstalling all main and core packages. I've SCOURED the web for answers but haven't seen this problem before.

You've probably modified one of the start-up services which you shouldn't have. Post the contents of
/etc/profile.d/10-retropie.sh
file from your system.
