    Hi there,
I am new to the RPI world and started off with just the RPI OS playing around, now I want to try RetroPie. I am using the below mentioned spare Micro SD card to test this. When the controller was not recognized, I figured I will try the keyboard. It gets detected but I never can get past the "OK" button in the end. This problem persists after many attempts of reformatting and writing the RetroPie image again.

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 4
Power Supply used: Official USB-C Power Supply
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1 for RPI 4/400
Built From: via RPI Imager on a 16GB SanDisc Ultra
USB Devices connected: USB Keyboard & Mouse via dongle (DELL) & below mentioned controller
Controller used: PS3 off brand controller
    Error messages received: none

    Problems:

    • Can't hit "ok" after configuring my keyboard as controller 01e0d61a-2c6f-42be-987c-742794ed096e-grafik.png (screenshot from a YT tutorial)
    • The PS3 controller does not get detected via USB connection (Not my main concern right now, but if there are any hints, happy to read them!)

Which key or button are you pressing to attempt to select the OK button?

In EmulationStation, the "A" button you map confirms selections and the "B" button you map cancels or 'backs out' of menus. Not the actual A or B keys on the board, but whatever you mapped as the buttons.

(For example) If you mapped Right CTRL as your "A" button, you would press Right CTRL to select OK.

That was it! Always tried with Enter or Select! Thanks so much!

And now I was also able to connect the controller!

Thanks so much, topic can be closed.
