      Pi4 fresh RetroPie v4.7.1 install and PieMarquee2.

When I scroll through games the marquee art updates and displays correctly on my marquee LCD. If I launch a game, the marquee continues to display the correct art and works as expected. If a game has a CFG file, even if the CFG file is blank, PieMarquee will display the system art file instead.

      For example:
/roms/arcade/mk.zip will display the mk.png marquee correctly while highlighting the game in the menu. If I launch the game, mk.png will still display correctly, BUT if mk.zip.cfg exists in the ROM folder (even if the file is blank) the game will launch and it will display the system image, arcade.png.

I would like to use custom viewports for bezel art and I am not sure what is causing this issue or how to get around it.

I realize this may be more of a PieMarquee2 issue, but hoping someone has run into this or understands how things work better than I do to explain what may be happening. Thanks for any input in advance.

I reached out to losernator and he was kind enough to provide an explanation and a quick fix:

"Piemarquee2 gets the rom name from the list of running processes, and game-specific options should affect that.

It seems that mk.zip.cfg was recognized as a rom file
quick fix : rename marquee "mk.png" into "mk.zip.png"

I created a duplicate mk.png and mk.zip.png to take care of the menu and in-game and all is good now!
