      Hi Guys and Gals,

Just finished powering up my bartop cabinet and booted up RetroPie for the first time. Everything looks to work which is great news! I am going through the configurations for the controllers and notice that I don't have enough buttons for an ideal setup (I have 6 face buttons for each of the two players and a single button below that was to be for start).

Everyone seems to be reccomending X Y L, B, A, R and then a start and select button. Am I going to have to dismantle the thing and fit in two extra buttons somewhere or can you somehow configure the single button to act as another set (via hotkeys?) I was thining this or is there some way to have two button presses equals another key, like Start+A = Select?

Many thanks for any help you can give!

@mrsimian The hotkey is normally select as well as the coin button for arcade. You can set another button to be your hotkey. You can have a keyboard handy for "other keys". I have no idea what you're looking to play so you may not need some of the buttons you have, but if you're looking to play everything under the sun then you're going to need a trackball and a spinner and a four-way joystick and a steering wheel, and...a whole lot.

Thanks for the response, It was mainly Amiga games, which mostly are two or three buttons anyway, but if I wanted to so SNES games, then the start and select are needed. Is there a config file that accept an input as two buttons, such as Start+A = Select?
