    To all the NES30 Pro / FC30 Pro users:

    has anybody tested if the switching between the analog and digital mode is possible in Retropie 4.0.x? / Will the devices register under different mac addresses in each mode and connect to each mode istantly? This switching is important because some Emulators only accept analog inputs like Vine.

    Currently I'm facing some issues with my NES30 controllers and i thought about getting the pro version to fix that issue:

    Thanks.

      i am not sure why you would need to switch to keyboard mode with an fc30 or nes30 pro. but if a emulator only accepts analog it will use the analog. however for retroarch emulators that dont have seperate analog and-pad functions (ie: n64, psp, psx...) you can have both analog and d-pad function as the d-pad. just add this to the seperate systems retroarch.cfg files. (not systems mentioned above though.)

      input_player1_up_axis = "-1"
      input_player1_down_axis = "+1"
      input_player1_left_axis = "-0"
      input_player1_right_axis = "+0"

      input_player2_up_axis = "-1"
      input_player2_down_axis = "+1"
      input_player2_left_axis = "-0"
      input_player2_right_axis = "+0"

        Hi edmaul69,

        thanks for your reply. You mentioned that the D-pad can be used both for digital and analog input in the same mode if i got it right? But the buttons need to be analog as well for the Vine emulator e.g. That's why I asked if you can switch from controller mode (completely digital input) to keyboard mode (completely analog imput)...

          @nbk so you say that controller mode doesnt support analog buttons but keyboard mode does? Interesting. I will have to look into this. I might play around with this and test a ps2 and ps3 controller on vine. I have never used vine but this has me curious.

            @edmaul69: yes, some emulators like Vice only work with analog input. Would be great if you could test it. Thanks in advance!

              can somebody with a NES30 Pro / FC30 Pro device check if switching between the two modes is possible? I want to use Vice (analoge input) as well as other emulators with digital input.

                @nbk i use vice and i dont use an analog controller. It has nothing analog. An adapter with a genesis controller. Here is my instructions from another thread to set up a controller just in case you are doing something wrong.

                when you are in the options, go into "machine settings". Go into "joystick settings" and setup your "joystick device" in here you will notice "swap joystick ports" dont hit it now but some games use the 2nd controller. Go into joystick mapping 1 and 2 and configure your controller. Go down to "extra joystick options". Set your menu activate and map to your controller. Then press the button that got you into the menu or your "menu activate" button to get back to the main menu page. Go down to "settings management". Choose "save settings on exit" it needs to show an asterick *. Choose save "joystick map" now if you go to play a game and the joystick isnt working, go into "machine settings - joystick settings" and choose "swap joystick ports" then back out back into the game. (There is nothing that shows you what joystick port you are using so you just have to blindly "swap joystick ports".
