      Hi,

I'm very new to Retropie and I'm trying to run some Intellivision games, but I couldn't even get the Intellivision logo on the main screen. I've followed the instructions for the FreeIntv emulator, but without any success. Here goes some details:

Pi Model or other hardware: 3B
Power Supply used: The one that came with my raspberry pi kit.
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.1
Built From: Got the image from the retropie site and saved on the SD using Rufus.
USB Devices connected: Two SNES controllers
      Controller used: SNES
      Error messages received: None
      Verbose log (if relevant): None
Guide used: Followed the instructions provided in the readme file of the FreeIntv package downloaded from SourceForge (inside the Retropie directory).
      File: Have no idea
      Emulator: FREEINTV
Attachment of config files: I'm using the files provided in the package downloaded from SourceForge.
How to replicate the problem: Cannot say.

The instructions for the emulator are quite simple. You just copy some files to some specific locations and that's it. I've double (triple, quadruple) checked that I did what is in the instructions and I couldn't find anything wrong. If anyone could give me some ideas or ways to perform additional checks, I would really appreciate.

      Thanks & regards,
      Wagner

@wschalch What theme are you using? Do you see "Intellivision" in plain font, or is it just not there at all?

Some themes do not have graphical support for the Intellivision in the EmulationStation menu.

Did you copy any games in intellivision ROM folder ? The system won't show up in EmulationStation until you have some games there - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#transferring-roms.

Guide used: Followed the instructions provided in the readme file of the FreeIntv package downloaded from SourceForge (inside the Retropie directory).

RetroPie includes the lr-freeintv emulator (a libretro core based on FreeIntv), it can be installed from RetroPie-Setup - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#updatinginstalling-individual-packages. The emulator is in the optional package section.

            Hi,
I've managed to have Intellivision emulator showing up now. I had to manually edit the file "/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg" to include the XML section for the 'freeintv' emulator.
Now I will test my games to check if everything is working ok.

            Thanks for all the attention!
            Best regards,
            Wagner

@wschalch Good. I was heading in that direction, which is why I asked if there was a plain font displayed.

@wschalch Hello. I'm facing the same problem you faced. Could you please detail all the necessary steps to edit the mentioned file? How do I get to this file in RetroPie? Thanks in advance.

@Manauense if you want support, you should create a new topic and include the information requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

There are no Intellivision emulators in the main packages which are installed by default. Did you manually install either of the optional packages jzintv or lr-freeintv?
