@cnoto Nice work! What screen and speakers did you end up using? Also, is that a carbon fiber (or look alike plastic) panel or an acrylic sheet for the controls? I like the pinball flipper style side buttons as well, great for things like Time Scanners or Pinball Action.

I wanted to have that ability to build something professional at that level. It was very beautiful, congratulations.

@ramenraidery95 Thanks for noticing the finer details. :). I actually have a pinball section with a couple 16 bit favorites. (Crush series, Crue ball, etc.) I will check out the two you mentioned.

The monitor is one of those old square dell computer monitors. My neighbors were leaving out for the trash and I grabbed it before the trash truck came. The monitor actually gave me the inspiration for the build.

The speakers are an amazon purchase. I took them out of the case and mounted them to a hole I drilled.

          These are the speaker covers

@wmarcio You can do it! Little by little, take your time. This was my first build like this. I modified the plans shown here:

            https://www.instructables.com/2-Player-Bartop-Arcade-Machine-Powered-by-Pi/

Ultimately, I didn't think I needed a marquee for such a small cabinet so I made the modification with the speakers up top.

I'm happy to offer any lessons learned it you give it a try. Fun project!!!

@cnoto Cool! I did something similar with the speakers in my cabinet, but I think yours turned out even better. The speaker covers were a good choice.

There are actually several MAME roms that are essentially video pinball machines. The coolest thing about them compared to console or PC pinball titles is that they actually prompt for coins (like any other arcade game) and keep real high-score lists (also like most other arcade games). Some are better than others, FYI. Time Scanner is pretty good, as is Pinball Action, Speed Ball and Grand Cross (which is really unique).
