I have seen several threads regarding sselph scraper not working and each time the person was told that it is an issue with Screenscraper being overloaded at the time.

I have an account on SS which allows me 2 concurrent threads and I have had this issue with the sselph scraper for months:

ss: cannot parse response: "invalid character 'F' looking for beginning of value

There are a few issues posted on GH. Here is one:
      https://github.com/sselph/scraper/issues/251

Both Skyscraper and Skraper are able to scrape from SS successfully. I would use them but haven't found a way for them to save media like sselph does (name-category.png i.e. zaxxon-image.png).

Is there ANYONE in this forum that is using the sselph scraper successfully? If not, can we get it fixed, or, have it removed from Optional Packages and the Wiki?

      John

UPDATE: I was wrong. The Windows version is also failing with the same error. I thought it was successful but it was actually using arcadeitalia as the source.

FYI…the Windows EXE version still works so I guess I can at least use that for now.
