Problem with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
-
Greetings to all.
I am trying to unsuccessfully start the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game using version 4.7.1 of Retropie mounted on a Raspberry Pi 3 B +.
Used emulators:
- LRMAME2003.
- LRMAME2010.
- Neogeo.
Used Roms and Chd:
- jojobane.zip.
- jojo-zip
- jojo-chd.zip.
I have saved a copy of these files on the corresponding mame-libretro and neogeo folders and the jojo-chd.zip file in the BIOS folder, even extracting its content, but no positive results.
Can someone explain what should I do to enjoy this game?
Thanks

Reading the arcade documentation

@fernaretro Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Jojo's Venture are CPSIII games, not NeoGeo games. They will not work in MAME on RetroPie. However they do work in FBNeo with the FBNeo romset (which does not use CHD files), so you'll need to source that to get it working.

If you don't have problem to use a different emulator then try the ps1 version of this game.
-
@fernaretro Use FBNeo and use its romset.
-
@fernaretro you can play it in dreamcast or playstation if you're having trouble with the arcade/mame.
But if you want it to work for mame just google the no cd version of the game and use fb-neo to run it. It's will be a .zip version so no need to unpack it anymore and just run it.

@darksavior
Excuse my ignorance because I am new in this world, but how can I install the fbneo emulator if I do not find it in the menu Retropie setup inside the admitted or experimental emulators?Another doubt. When talking about the appropriate romset, do you refer to the appropriate rom.zip version for that emulator?
Thanks.

Not sure where you are looking, but it's available through
Manage packages > main > lr-fbneo
, it's also installed by default so you only need to go there if you want to update it.@fernaretro said in Problem with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure:

To be exact, the appropriate romset for the emulator and its version, because when you update the emulator (to benefit from new features, bugfixes, and support for new games) some of your older romsets might become incompatible. Again, all of this is covered in the arcade documentation.
