PPSSPP Audio Issues in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
-
Raspberry Pi 4b 8gb
RetroPie Version 4.7.16
Built from SD Image from Raspberry Pi Imager
Emulator: lr-ppsspp (latest version as of 8/16/2021 - I couldn't find version number)I am having a problem with ppsspp, where when playing only Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, certain music or sounds are being really distorted. While the cut-scenes in the game play perfectly, the menu and background music are horribly distorted, and grate on the ears. It seems that the problem is tied to certain music tracks specifically, as on the menu the song is distorted, but the sound effect for menu selections is normal.
A couple other notes:
The issue doesn't seem to be lag related. In game, I have a consistent fps and the audio is still distorted.
I have tried to un-synch the audio in the retroarch settings among other things, but no amount of messing with the retroarch settings seems to help
My pi is overclocked, if that could cause an issue.
Here's a link to a video showing the game opening, playing audio normally in the opening cut-scene, and then the audio from the title screen: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12wIKdJa0iO8MM1vVF9jNJnZzly1bldt7/view?usp=sharing (To be clear, there seems to be some lag in the video, but there was no noticeable lag in person, except for maybe a small fps drop when the main menu opens)Let me know if any of y'all are running into similar problems, and if there's any know solution to this, since I couldn't find one

@fiddla01 new update messed with audio in several games, sadly you have to rollback the emu version of yours.
