How do I pause my game or open the menu in LZdoom without the camera automatically looking at the ground?

Pi 4
CanaKit 3.5A Pi 4 Power Supply
RetroPie Version: 4.7.1
Built From: retropie-buster-4.7.1-rpi4_400.img.gz
Controller used: 8bitdo sn30pro+ Switch mode
Plugged device: mini keyboard
Emulator: LZDoom 3.87cIn LZDoom, any time you pause a game or press the escape key on a keyboard to open the main menu, this somehow does "something" to the camera. After you un-pause or exit the main menu, you will automatically be left staring at the ground. This forces you to recenter the camera. I've actually mapped a re-center function to the R3 button to fix this.
It only happens the first time you pause the game. Afterwards, the camera will no longer do anything like this. It's certainly not the biggest problem in the world, but it would be nice if I could get rid of it. It's the last kink I need to iron out.
I've put together a fresh retropie image, separate from my main image, just to see if it happens with untouched default settings, and it does. is there a way to get rid of it?

If you are not using the mouse, I recommend you to enter the mouse options and set all "speed" options (mouselook, turn, look, strafe) to 0. Also, disable mouselook. Keep mouse enabled though, that will keep the pointer to appear inside gameplay.

@protocultor This fixes the problem, thanks!
Sorry for the late reply BTW. I decided to gather up all my Pi stuff and take a couple weeks break from touching any of it!
