retropie download not working?

im new to the raspberry pi, so my knowledge is really limited. i tried to setup retropie, and went to https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/manual-installation and followed all the instructions, but when i got to sudo ./retropie_setup.sh the terminal tells me to "manually setup the _platform" any help?
