      Hi Folks,

i did an "update all installed packages" two days ago.
The only packages that needed an update were lr-FBNEO & lr-PPSSPP.

Since that moment i have major artifacts in several PSP-Games, i.e. "Tony Hakws Project 8".
The artifacts are constant and look the same every time they appear (Tony Hawk: right in the beginnnig / start menu).

Has anyone else noticed graphical issues, that were not there before updating the PPSSPP-Core?

@sirhenrythe5th I found that lr-ppsspp used to run better, but after an update the standard ppsspp emulator ran far superior. Especially after a few tweaks.

@drdave79 thank you for the advise.
Is there a possibilty to exit ppsspp with the same hotkey-combination as in lr-emulators?
That is the only thing that i dont like on ppsspp :/

I made a picture of the graphical issues, just for the case that someone has an idea what could be responsible for that kind of artefacts:

          https://ibb.co/ZcqP4jw

It looks like it is generated out of the line on the bottom of the screen where the input functions are displayed.

Will uninstall the package clean everything?

Tried that, still the graphics are messed up.
Made a fresh install of retropie 4.6.19 and installed lr-ppsspp from source, still graphics are messed up.
At this point i guess i can do nothing but wait for further updates/bugfixes.

I can confirm that the latest version of ppsspp and lr-ppsspp doesn't work very well with many games.

I try the Tony Hawk's Project 8 (USA) (v2.03) with the v.1.9.3 of lr-ppsspp and with v.1.10.2 of ppsspp and the game running without graphical glitches. If you want to downgrade to those versions, you have to follow the instructions on this topic : https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/30701/problem-with-gta-vice-city-stories-on-psp/36?_=1635003365549

My English isn't at a good level.

@windg thank you very much for your response!
I am aware that downgrading is an option, i saw that recently concerning the GTA Games for the PSP.
But i dont want to go steps back, i will wait for updates fixing this issue ;D

Tried tony hawk proj 8 with the latest pre compiled binary release of the stand alone ppsspp and the game works fine here for me. No graphical issues.

@genos98 i dont want to use ppsspp standalone, so i will wait for a fix in lr-ppsspp :)

@sirhenrythe5th Try updating from source again and see if the issue is fixed.

@mitu sadly it was not, but never mind.
I noticed that PPSSPP is changed/updated nearly daily and so i will keep an eye on it and have patience.
Good luck that PSP-Emulation is just some kind of bonus for me, the situation would be much worse when something like that happened to lr-FBNEO :D

Got it, someone from the official ppsspp-forum had the final hint.
I share this here for everyone running in the same issue (which should happen if you updated recently):

"RE: graphical issues since last update
Turn off the vertex cache setting.

It used to be accidentally disabled in code, but we re-enabled it recently. It seems to be malfunctioning on some devices now, though. It was accidentally broken for several stable versions."
