wii and ps5 controllers working- but no rumble
-
I got both of them to work perfectly using the 8bitdo usb adapter- only problem is there is no rumble. Is this a possibility at this point?
8bitdo has some direction online about putting the ps5 controller in x-mode by pushing the create button and the up button- but it does nothing when I try this- not even what the step before this would be- the directions are rather unclear. Any help would be appreciated. -
With what emulators did you try the rumble ?
I know for the Ps1 games,if you want to have vibration you have to change the controller to dualshock from the retroarch menu while your are in the game .It's important to add the following relevant inormations : https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

For the ps5 controller simply don't use the adapter i'd say.
What's the point of doing so? -
I have tried several controllers on the mayflash magic ns on every mode possible on the stick and have had no luck with the rumble function. I have tried a x-box one, X box seriesSx, and PS5 dualsense controllers. The X-box one and dualsense will connect and be controlled but with no rumble. The series x controller won't even connect. Which mode should I be using? I believe I have tried them all. Using an up-to-date retropie on a raspberry pi 4 system. If it matters, I am booting from an ssd card instead of an internal sd.

@upjumptheboogie Please don't double post. I've merged your topics.

@mitu Hello, I certainly would not want to double post. The first post was about the 8-bitdo USB connector- which I have since got to work with these controllers- including with rumble (all except the xbox series x). This post was about the Mayflash magic ns- which I have not been able to get to work with rumble.

@upjumptheboogie The Xbox S-X should be supported by the
xpadneo
driver - did you install it before pairing the controller ?
