Commodore 64 Emulation on Pi 3B+
-
I would like to ask for help regarding installation of Commodore 64 on my PI 3B+. I am new to PI, and first tried the PI with ZX Spectrum, it created folder "roms\ZXSpectrum" on my USB key, and after copying some games on PC and re-inserting it to PI the ZX emulator appeared in the RetroPie carousel .
I tried the same for Commodore - but the c64 folder was not created on the USB. I tried to put some games *.T64 into "manually" created folder RetroPie\roms\c64, but this doesn't work... -
Vice (standalone emulator) and lr-vice (RetroArch libretro-core) for C64 are in the optional packages of the RetroPie-Setup.
They are probably not installed so you have to install them first in the RetroPie-Setup.You can check the docs here :

@ladba1975 As Folly pointrd out (Hi Folly!) you need to install either emulator.
For the sake of ease-of-use, install lr-vice. It will give you the benefit of shaders and overlays. There are some great overlays out there that mimic the 1702 monitor sitting on a table that you would swear were the real thing. Come back here and I'll be happy to explain how that works.
As for games...if you don't have any, Google is your friend. For the C64 they are easy to find and a ton of them out there.
Lr-vice accepts them in zipped format and will run .D64 .CRT .T64 .PRG formats zipped or unzipped. You can also choose PAL or NTSC depending on what you're used to seeing.
