I am using mame2003 (Not the Plus version) and just noticed I have mame2003\cfg\default.cfg files all over the place. I have lots of dirs and use alot of Retroarch Per Content DirectoryOverrides to remap by dir. I didn't realize that mame2003 defaults to this behavior under General Settings from Mame menu. Anyone know if it's possible to make mam2003 share general settings? ie Use one default.cfg by passing in somehow on command line? If not I guess I can get the general mame settings the way I want then copy them into each subdir.

@flagrant99 mame2003 will default to using the content directory to save cfgs when a save directory is not specified. You'll need to specify a save directory in retroarch.cfg

        savefile_directory

This could be an emulator override
