Hello, I write with a translator sorry for the mistakes.
So I have an old pc from 2008 but it only runs linux mint. I tried to install debian or ubuntu but it does not work. moreover I have to use i3 with otherwise it's too slow.
my problem is the following: I use the shortcut "mod + D" then I write "emulation station" it opens it well for me but I cannot launch games. I can't open it with cinnamon because it's too slow. could you help me.

EmulationStation needs to be launched from a terminal emulator - this is needed for the runcommand menu to work.
Open a terminal emulator (try xterm) and then run EmulationStation from there.

If EmulationStation cannot start, it will print an error message on the terminal where you start it. What's the error message that you get after you start EmulationStation ?

@mitu I havn't error message. when I start a game the emulation station closes and the game doesn't start.

@Xorcode in this case, please provide a log from running the game - see here. EmulationStation closing is normal, it minimizes itself so that the game can start.
