RetroPie Version Used : 4.7.21
Built From: Pi imager and updated to the latest version
USB Devices connected: usb stick 128 gb (roms)
Controller used: logitech F310, pi keyboard,
Emulator: i have this problem with all emulators .runcommand.log
Logitech Gamepad F310.cfg
es_input.cfg
retroarch.cfgI updated my system few hours ago and now the controller doesn't work in game correct. Specifically, the only buttons that are working are the D-pad ant L,R buttons. Keyboard buttons are working as expected. Controller is always set to X position
I have try to reset the controllers, reset retroarch.cfg file, reinstall retropie but the result was the same.
I try a back-up that i take one week ago and the controller is working fine here. Then i updated it and the same issue appear.During the update i saw updates about raspberry kernel, kernel-headers, bootloader and xpad .
Thanks!

The xpad driver updated 12 hours ago, i think the problem is here because i downgrade to commit (bc930a5) and now the controller is working fine again.
If someone have similar problems and want to downgrade the xpad version you have to change the line in xpad.sh file :
from
rp_module_repo="git https://github.com/paroj/xpad.git master"
to be
rp_module_repo="git https://github.com/paroj/xpad.git master bc930a5"
The path for xpad.sh file is here :
/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/supplementary/xpad.sh
i reported to github https://github.com/paroj/xpad/issues/194

@windg I was having an issue today with my 8bitdo SN30 Pro Wired, and your suggestion for reverting the xpad driver version fixed my issue too. The problem seems to be more widespread than just the Logitech F310, and applies to more controllers using Xinput.

@G30FF
Yes it is more widespread, i just test my second controller Logitech F710 and i have the same issue. I try to take a debug log but for some reason doesn't work for me. -
The update that causes the problems removed for now from the developer until the issues get fix.

The issue got fixed and it is now safe to updated the xpad driver to the latest version.
