      Pi model: Pi Zero 2 W
      RetroPie-Setup version: 4.8 (44149e3)
      System: rpi3 (armv7l) - Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) - Linux PiGen 5.15.32-v7+ #1538 SMP armv7l GNU/Linux
      Pulled install from retropie website
      USB Devices: Rii x8 keyboard
      WM8960 Waveshare Soundcard
      4INCH HDMI LCD waveshare
      I have tried running through SSH from my PC AND through terminal on the pi itself.

      I have uninstalled, re-written the image and gone through this process multiple times and I just keep getting stuck right here for hours:

        Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)

        Unless I am mistaken, this isn't supported. Use 10 (Buster.)

            @genge094 yes, and yes :)

            (You could do full Desktop edition if you want, but Lite is equivalent to what is distributed on the downloadable images. And the desktop can always be added later too, anyway.)

              Fix to fool RetroPie so you can install the binary packages of Buster on Bullseye :

                  @sleve_mcdichael thanks! I was able to get it to download on the full desktop OS but it boots into a black screen. I guess I would have to start a new topic for that one though.
