Systems: PC Box with core i5 and Raspberry 3b/3b+/4b 4GB
      OS: Ubuntu 20.04/Retropie 4.8 X86 and Retropie 4.8 on Raspberry(s)
      Emulator: lr-retro8

      Hi, I have a problem common to all the hardware I own (a pc i5, 2 raspberry 3b +, 1 raspberry 3 and a raspberry 4 with 4gb of ram)

I have tried many Pico 8 games in .p8 .png and .zip format

Most games either don't work, or work incorrectly or freeze retropie (which I have to reset with CRTL + ALT + DEL)

There are very few games that work properly

Is there anything I can do or the problem is that lr-retro8 is an experimental emulator?

It's most likely due to the experimental nature of the core.
Do you have some example games that crash/don't work properly with lr-retro8 ? Do they work if you use the pico8 emulator ?

It's the emulator (lr-retro8). Masters of the Universe is already reported as non-working and I guess other games may have the same issues (either loading or during emulation).

Best to use the official Pico8 simulator and configure it in EmulationStation to launch the games with it (see this topic for an example configuration).
