ScummVM best versions?
-
I'm looking at the ScummVM library, and I see a lot of duplicates. Amiga, CD DOS, Floppy DOS, etc.
Do the CD versions offer anything besides red book audio and voiceovers? Are any of them worth it? (I'm running off the SD card without an external USB so I can fit a bit, but it's not unlimited.)
Is there a clear winner in the Floppy DOS/Amiga/Apple2/C64 matchup, or does it come down to personal tastes and nostalgia (I've never played most of these, just a couple of the Sierra adventures)?
What's your favorite versions, and why?

FM Towns.
Nothing else comes close.
Cheers.

Am I understanding right that other versions have either text (floppy) or speech (CD), but the FM Towns versions have both?

If that's the case, I definitely don't want the regular CD versions as I am often playing on mute and do need a text option most of the time.

FM Towns is the best but the most difficult to find and dump.
All of my Scummvm purchases came from Steam though.
If you watch out for sales, you can get most of them for just $1 to $2 each.
Edit:
There's options in Scumm for text, speech and sound if you have a preferred method to play these.
