Problem with lr-fuse
-
I have a problem with the lr-fuse emulator on my raspberry pi. I wanted to load a game. When that didn't work, I chose a different setting (48k or Sinclair - ZX Spectrum +3...?) in the Retroarch options. Somehow I must have done something wrong when saving. Actually, I only saved this option for this game...
Now I can no longer start a game. I get back to the home screen after a few seconds. What can I do ?Best regards, buzztea

You probably saved a game specific config or a game specific core-options file.
If so, then you have to look here :
/home/pi/.config/retroarch/config (probably in the fuse directory)
There will be a filenameyour_game.cfg
oryour_game.opt
.
Try to delete that one or these ones and try to load the game again and see if it works. If you can't find such a file and loading still doesn't work then it's something else.

I tried that. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the emulator. Without success.

Please provide some info about your setup, as asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
Presuming that you have one game where
lr-fuse
still starts, open the Options menu and - under Manage Core Options reset the options to default. -
no game starts...:-(
strange: it works on an older backup. -
- Have you checked your /dev/shm/runcommand.log ?
(enable verbose mode when running the game) - Have you compared both log's ?

@Folly
very good idea ! I won't be there for a week, will try again afterwards. -
Now I have checked the runcommand.log:

The problem: With the older backup that works, I can't find a fuse folder or a "128-0 rom" in the bios directory. In the other version there is a "fuse" folder. In this there is also a "128-0 rom" But no game can be loaded...?

@buzztea You've changed the 'Model' core option to a model that requires a BIOS (probably Pentagon/Scorpion ?) and the file is missing.
Open/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg
and remove the line that starts withfuse_machine
.EDIT: When you change a core option, it is automatically saved when you exit RetroArch. If you wish to change the option just for one game, then you need to:
- change the option to the value you want
- save the core options for the game
- change the option back to the previous/default value

Many thanks for the help. Now it works again! I actually thought that I only made the setting specifically for the game. Probably not...?
