      Hi I'm trying to play Radiant Silvergun, but so far I only have mixed results on my overclocked Pi4.

      The Saturn version using Yabasanshiro standalone is "meh"...
      In Roslof's (super helpful!) arcade compatibility list it's listed as working with advmame with a 3x magnification. But it runs "ok" for me on 1x . Everything else results in a stutterfest. Also, the resolution changes between the title screen and the game which results in cropped screens. Maybe I'm overlooking some options in advmame? I'm only using it for RS and G-Darius, so there might be something else I have to configure...

          @barbudreadmon Ah! That's good to know. But can I get it to run better? IIRC the last time I tried, it didn't work terribly well...

          I just came back to arcade shooters after those super cool advances for the Cave shooters in FBN, btw. :) So of course I had to try some other shooters in FBN, too.

            @ecto As a die-hard-SHMUP-Fan i can recommend these games:

            • all Raizing/8-ing SHMUPs
            • all PSIKYO SHMUPs
            • all TOAPLAN SHMUPs (harder than most, dont get frustrated ;))
            • all NAOMI SHMUPs (their technical quality is even better than CAVE1000. Includes IKARUGA aka Radiant Silvergun II)
            • most of the CAPCOM SHMUPs
            • all NEOGEO SHMUPs

              @sirhenrythe5th Hey, thanks for these suggestions! I'll look into them.
              Sadly I must admit, that I'm a very bad at playing Shmup's. But I love the aesthetics, though.

              I remember buying Ikaruga for DC when it was released as the "last" commercial game for the DC. ...and the crushing difficulty when I finally played it at home... :D
