General questions about skyscraper

I use Skyscraper to scrape my roms. Now, of course, all of them are never found and I have already added my own data (at least screenshots) to the list by importing it.
However, I still have questions that I couldn't answer myself:

a game that was not found will be checked again by the Skyscraper during the next Scrapingt run. If the rom now has a cryptic filename (Adventure_ver2222_de_xred) does that have anything to do with it? Or is the game found using a hash or something similar?

if it has something to do with the filename, I would have to change the name so Skyscraper has a chance to find it. Do I then have to rename the rom, vacuum the system from the cryptic rom, then regenerate the gamelist, scrape again? Or what is the procedure here?

do you have to regenerate the game list after a vacuum run?
