Daytona USA (Arcade)

Has anyone gotten the arcade version of Daytona USA to work on the RP4? I found it in the 2010 Mame romset, but it just freezes, even when selecting a single connection in the options.

@Retro-Arcade-Fan yes, but as far as it is a SEGA NAOMI game: use (lr-) flycast for this game.
Even if MAME is capable to run this game on a WindowsPC, the Pi4 is not. -
@sirhenrythe5th ok thanks. I'll stick to the Dreamcast version then.

I think Sir Henry is saying that you can play the arcade-version MAME rom in lr-flycast.
I don't have this particular title, but that works for me with

Daytona USA is Model 2, not Naomi.

@sleve_mcdichael Yeah, tried that from my 0.139 mame romset. Went back to ES unfortunately.
@segasonic I tried the supermodel emulator as well. Eventually got it to launch, but froze.
It's ok. The Dreamcast version works well. Just wanted to see the difference between that and the original arcade version.

@Retro-Arcade-Fan Supermodel is for Model 3 games, not Model 2 (although the Model 3 did get the sequel to Daytona USA, and is a very fun game in its own right!)
Sadly there doesn't appear to be a good option for emulating the Model 2 outside of Windows (and even then, the only decent option is a closed-source emulator that hasn't been updated in a long while). Recent versions of MAME support it, but it's not particularly good at the moment (and the Pi 4 definetly isn't fast enough to handle it).

Of course! Sorry for that false information!, i had the Dreamcast Version in mind indeed :/

@SuperFromND ah, thanks for that. I was able to get Daytona USA 2 to work with Supermodel. Had to change the settings to a single cabinet then it worked. It's a tad slow, even being overlocked. But playable. Thanks.
