    I've tried on a RaspberryPi 3B+ and on Ubuntu 20.04 but both are having the same issues.

    Out of the box, new setup and ran the RetroPie setup using the directions provided on the website (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/).

    The install progresses fine, but it errors out when it attempts to install the N64 emulators. Everything else works well.
    When I attempt to manually install any N64 emulator, I get the same type of errors. All other emulators installed fine out of the box and I even installed the PSX one after the fact with no issues.

    For Example, I attempted to install mupen64plus and it runs all the way through the script then errors out at the end with:
    "Could not successfully bind mupen64plus - N64 emulator MUPEN64PLUS (mupen64plus-core/projects/unix/libmeupen64plus.so.2.0.0 not found)". For lr-mupen64plus-next, it errors out with "Could not successfully bind lr-mupen64plus-next - N64 emulator - Mupen64Plus + GlideN64 for libretro (next version) (/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/tmp/build/lr-mupen64plus-next/mupen64plus_next_libretro.so not found)"

    This has been happening for some time, and I have done a bunch of Google Searches and haven't found anything to help.

    I am not an expert when it comes to Linux but have made pretty good progress so far with this. The emulator is the last thing I need to set up to have this at 100% for the ROMs I own.

    Here is the log of the install: https://pastebin.com/xBBy41EU

    I'm not sure what config files you need to see. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

      Your log file shows a Debian Stretch installation - not an Ubuntu 20.04 installation. Are you sure you're using a recent Ubuntu distribution ?

        Thank you for the quick reply.

        Sorry, I pulled the logs from a VM I was running to reproduce the issue.
        I attempted to run it again on the Ubuntu box and it finally took.

        Not sure what the issue was, but it appears to be working now (of course after I post a question about it :)

        Thank you!!

          @BlueClawMD
          I have the issue, and don't know why.
