Raspberry PI not copying all ROMs to flash drive
-
@mitu
It turns out that I haven't tried this method to transfer ROMs, it's easier to use SFTP, thank you for the reminder! ^^ -
Usually when you attach a USB stick into a RPI with Retropie it should copy over all the ROMs and folders right
No, only the ROM folders are copied initially if you use the USB transfer method. You add the ROM files to those folders from your PC/other device.
Only folders are copying and whatever ROM I put on it, it would not copy
Did you restart EmulationStation after adding the ROMs ? Are the ROM files correctly named for the systems where you expect the games to show up ?
-
@mitu I have restarted many times
-
@Lilyandy actually I cannot use wifi transfer. because I run on RPI 1
-
@Auserisauser
I just now understand why... XDI bought RasPi 4B, so it has wifi and RJ45, which is more convenient.
Disadvantage... bulky... XDBy the way, I highly recommend you to consider these products,
Convenient and easy to use! It can also be used as a handheld and can also be used as an external monitor.PiBoy XRS Kit (Raspberry Pi 4B)
Piboy DMG Kit (Raspberry Pi 3B+, 4B or Zero)
GPi case (Raspberry Pi ZERO, ZERO W)
GPi case 2 (Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4)
GamePi43 (Raspberry Pi B+/2B/3B/3B+/4B)Prices from cheap to expensive:
GamePi43 < GPi case < GPi case 2 < Piboy DMG Kit < PiBoy XRS Kit
You can refer to it! ^^ -

OK, how about the file names being correct ? Can you give some examples of files that don't show up and the system where you copied them ?
-
@mitu Yeah ok Sonic CD is one that I am trying
-
@Auserisauser That's not really helping - what is the exact filename(s) and what is the folder where you're copying them ?
-
@mitu Ok
I am copying Sonic CD.bin and Sonic CD.cue into the segacd folder -
@Auserisauser didnt it run yesterday?

Your final post was something like "IT WORKS NOW!", that´s why i am asking ;)A general hint: the source of your Sonic-CD-image is well known and offers very old files (you can see the source in the screenshot of the files).
I would not recommend to download from there, a lot of this stuff is outdated in our days.But apart from this the files should be visible in your SEGA-CD section of ES.
Maybe there is a missing connection between SegaCD and your chosen emulator, so the files are not supported yet and therefore not shown in ES?
Just an idea, Mitu will know much better! -
For some reason my entire NES, SEGA CD, and 32x gave a error
-
Ok it worked. I just downloaded all the roms that were on retropie and it detected it
