C64/Mechanical Keyboard shell for Pi?
-
Hello there! I have built a handful of fightsticks and a complete bartop arcade using RetroPie as the OS - and I have a lot of other ideas in the works.
I want to build a Raspberry Pi 4 / RetroPie based system that fits inside a "breadbin" style case/mechanical keyboard like the Commodore 64 / VIC-20. I want to add an external Floppy drive that functions like a USB stick as well.
Does anyone know of any companies that mass produce a case with a working keyboard like this? I'd hate to gut a real Commodore just to stick a raspberry Pi in it. and a lot of similar projects I saw on YouTuve required a LOT of soldering and/or 3D printing. Which I am not able to do for a while.
I'm wanting something that looks old. Beige, black...not too interested in flashing LEDs or anything that looks too modern.
Any leads? :)
Thanks in advance everyone! I have been lurking on here for a while now, but this is my first post.

@UncleCatfish by the way I do know about the VILROS keyboard/ Pi case but it seems a little cheap for my liking. I'm wanting a real clickity clack retro typing experience :D
