Re: Pandora Games 3d as Raspberry Pi Controller

Hi guys, I have tried everything to connect my Pandora 3d to retropie. But it does not detect Pandora at all. On same usb my Logitech f310 works just fine.

      I tried adding: usbhid.quirks=0×0314:0×0119:0×040 into cmdline.txt

Also, Running "lsusb" showing no detection of joysticks.
I have replaced my Pandora factory joysticks with Sanwa. Does that changes the vendor and product ID I am using? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

      Thank You!!

Please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

        I tried adding: usbhid.quirks=0×0314:0×0119:0×040 into cmdline.txt

The × character should be an x (lower case X), unless the text you posted got auto-corrected, then make sure you're inputting an actual x into the text you added to cmdline.txt.

Also, Running "lsusb" showing no detection of joysticks.

If lsusb doesn't show the controller being connected, then there's a physical connection issue - check the cable and perhaps try to see if it's detected on another system (PC?).

@mitu Thanks! I found the real issue why it was not detecting after some research. Three points to note:

          1. My Pandora 3d's top USB port must be used to connect with Raspberry pi4.
          2. Pandora must be powered ON to detect the controller.
          3. Once Pandora connects, Pandora goes to "Controller" mode(a full screen message shows up) and disables its controller on Pandora but activates on raspberry pi.

Now, I am using both systems on my arcade cabinet side by side using an HDMI switcher.

Hopefully these would help other people. :)
