Arcade controls for N64
-
Hi,
I recently bought a Raspberry pi model 4 and installed retropie on this. I've put the Raspberry Pi into a home made arcade cabinet. This cabinet includes a joystick, 6 buttons (configured as ABXY and Left Right) and 2 smaller buttons (select and start). With this configuration, I can play on all emulators, except for the Nintendo64. The joystick does not work for roms played in the n64 emulator. I saw the configuration of the buttons for a n64 controller (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Nintendo-64/), but I do not have enough buttons. The reason for this is that the joystick needs to be configured as D-pad up, down, left and right. Otherwise you cannot use the joystick in the retropie menu. I can not use the joystick anymore for Left analog up, down, left and right. Therefore, when playing games, I cannot use the joystick to move. For this reason, I can not play the n64 games....I am a beginner at this and not that good with computers. The emulator runs mupen64-plus, but i've tried all the different emulators and not one works. Is there an easy way to fix this so I can use the joystick in n64 games? Thanks!:)
