Issue with Insert Coin on Arcade Mode

Hi, I have a raspberry PI with the arcade systems but it will no longer allow me to "insert coins" in order to play.
I have noticed that on my controllers it will only light up players 2 & 3 when I connect rather than 1 & 2 and not sure if this is the issue.
Is anyone able to assist please?

Try to remap you joystick.

In EmulationStation, press Start and choose "configure input."
Alternatively, begin EmulationStation with no controllers nor keyboard attached, then when it asks you to configure a controller, attach the one you want to configure.
