I have installed ubuntu 22.10 on a pc, install retropie and copy the attractmode config that I had in my rpi 3b+ and roms.

emulationstation starts and runs the roms but I like more attractmode which starts too but when I click it to play I can't access the menu to choose emulator or run the roms.

      i@hp-compaq-elite-8300-sff:~/scripts$ sudo cat /dev/shm/runcommand.log
      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-pcsx-rearmed/pcsx_rearmed_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/psx/Silent Hill (USA).PBP" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

How are you starting EmulationStation ? runcommand needs a terminal to display the runtime menu.

@mitu From the icon you created in the menus and it works (runncommand works). What doesn't work is attractmode and I don't understand why. Making a running log the line is the same and does not generate an error.

I solved it by installing xterm... now I just need to see because retroarch doesn't recognize the controller :).

Maybe it was not the best thing to install the latest 64-bit version of ubuntu.
