Shanwan usb controller analog/d-pad switch issue
-
Hi, I have a wired shanwan usb controller (K-PAD THORIUM). The issue is about the button to enable/disable the d-pad, it does not work (in the manual I read that I have to hold the button for 5 seconds to switch from analog to d-pad).
While I'm in the emulationstation both d-pad and analog control, work simultaneously but in game, only the d-pad works.
I read the guide to manually remap the key using the jstest command from CLI but unluckily no entries in the columns swap between on and off when I press that key.Pi Model or other hardware: 1 mod B
Power Supply used: Samsung Tablet 5V
RetroPie Version Used: 4.8
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
Controller used: shanwan usb controller (K-PAD THORIUM) -

Which manual ? The one that I found for this gamepad mentions the Home button to switch between XInput/DInput.

Since most games don't support the analog controls, it's normal. RetroArch has a setting for the controller (Analog to Digital Type) to make the joystick control the D-Pad, without the game supporting it.
Open the RetroArch menu, go to Controls -> Port 1 Controls and set Analog to Digital Type to Left Analog or Right Analog to use the joysticks instead of the D-Pad. -

I refer to the same manual
