      Model: Pi 4B
      Sound settings (main menu):
      audio card: default
      audio device: HDMI
      OXM: AlSA

      I also get an error message all the time at the top left corner of my screen whenever i go to any settings window such as raspi-config (the blue background settings screen where you use the keyboard and enter to navigate)
      the error says
      lvl0volume control init() failed to find mixer elements

      The sound settings audio gets reset to 0

      My config file is left mostly untouched
      But i have a made a change in the config where i uncommented
      hdmi_drive=2
      hoping that the audio would work , but sadly it didn't.
      I have checked other solutions in the forum but none of them worked

        Please provide the rest of the info requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
        Add the config.txt file content between code tags (```).
