Is that why I get an error when installing ?

      For the Caprice32 core, yes.

So Mint 19.3 is not compatible with the latest version of RetroPie ?

@Sebiohazard Just because one core fails to install doesn't mean it's not compatible. If it wouldn't be compatible, the installer would have told you so.
Leaving that aside, Linux Mint is an old release and support for it - from the upstream project - will stop in 2023 (if it hasn't already).

You'll have to wait a bit to find a solution for this problem. The other Amstrad CPC emulator is CapriceRPI, but it's only available on a Raspberry PI.

If your distribution supports upgrading (in-place) to a newer release, I'd recommend doing so. Otherwise, if your system is constrained by a 32bit CPU, I'd recommend installing Debian or perhaps deciding to get a a newer PC/system which supports 64 bit and use the same distribution.

In this case, you can install or upgrade to the current Linux Mint release.

@Sebiohazard the install error for Caprice32 should be fixed in the latest RetroPie-Setup, you need to update the script and you can install the core.
