      Hi
      Does somebody try lr-gearsystem. Some say it's the best emulator for Master System in 2023. I don't see it on Retropie Extra. I see gearboy and gearcoleco but not gearsystem.

          @ExarKunIv

          Seems lr-gearsystem.sh is already in the Retropie-Setup, no need to make it.

          Edit :
          Check the experimental packages.

              I have it working now just tried Afterburner.
              Saving and loading states also works.

                I tried Shinobi and it works fine also.
                It seems to be a good emulator

                    @DTEAM Hi. I no longer use RetroPie, but I am always interested into opinions and improving my RetroArch installation. So my question is more broad and related. What makes Gearsystem better than SMS Plus GX? What was compared? Just want to know who is saying its better, to understand why this is and consider to switch.

                      Personnaly, my favorite one for Master System was lr-smsplus-gx.sh (faster with no glitch), but lr-gearsystem seems to be similar. I will have to test it more than 5 minutes to conclude.

                        I switched to lr-picodrive for SMS/GG/Genesis/Sega CD/32x a few years ago when there was some kind of breakthrough on the devs' part in terms of accuracy and compatibility, even on my x86 machines.

                        The speed of the thing is incredible (It can run Sega CD games full speed on a Pi Zero W!) and the accuracy is also good. It even emulates weirder things like the YM2413 synth chip the Japanese SMS had.
