Stopwatch for speed running?
-
I really enjoy speed running Zelda - Link's Awakening and Super Metroid, along with a few other titles, trying to improve my times on these.
How difficult would it be to have a clock for those?
Perhaps even create a few splits as well.
This feature already exists for something like Super Punch-out.
Curious what all it takes to program or simply include a display clock in a game.
Cheers. :)

The screenshot shows a RetroAchievement challenge clock - this is where the timer is coming from. Not sure how/where is defined (leaderboard support maybe ?), but you can take a look at the existing cheevos options in RetroArch or ask in the cheevos forums about it.

Thank you Mitu.
Yeah, I'll go ahead and search around in that Cheevos forum you mentioned.
I Googled what all games support that Retroachievements timer thingy and came up with zero results.
Maybe I'm not terming my question correctly through Google. :/

@Addison better have a look on the Retroachievements-Website.
There you can see which games for which system allready have achievement-support.
If you have a closer look into the Achievements-List of a game, you also see what kind of leaderboards are offered.
Racing Games have fastest laps of course, but there are a lot of other kind of leaderboards, worth having a look :) -
Yeah.
It took me awhile just to find the leaderboards section for Super-Punchout.
The site is a bit difficult for me to navigate through for some reason.
Anyway, I tied in the top 7 earlier tonight for knocking out Gabby the quickest. :D
The other times that were faster used the PAL version which is no longer supported, and to me, I considered that cheating. :P
