It looks like this forum's software was updated in the last few days. The forum main body seems to no longer conform to dark/light mode. I use dark mode in Firefox under Windows 11. As it stands now, the main menu bar at the top is dark mode, but the main body is back to bright white. I hope this is unintentional and the forum just needs a settings tweak.

Yes, the forum has been upgraded on Monday (from NodeBB 2.x to NodeBB 3.x).

There are a few quirks with the current theme and the 'dark mode' extension/plugin that was used is not compatible with the current forum/theme version. Could be more than a few tweaks, the 'dark mode' is something that's good to have.

Yes, it's one of the few 'quirks' that I was talking about (not specific to Chrome). Along with YT embeds, mobile menu and probably some other things we haven't discovered yet.

              Ok, thanks.

Quoting looks very nice though ;-)

We've added some changes to fix the issues reported (some of them have been in place for some time).

For the dark/light switch, the plugin that offered the one-click icon in the header is not compatible any more with the new theme and forum version, so it has been disabled.

However, you can change the color scheme of the forum now from the Settings page of your account, by choosing the Theme Skin , some of the skins (Cyborg, Darkly) offer a dark-mode color palette. After applying the theme, you may need to reload the front-page to fully apply the theme.

Let me know if you found or noticed any other quirks with the new theme/forum version.

Quoting looks very nice though ;-)

                Very WhatsApp like.

EDIT: Here's the list of Skins with a dark color palette:

                • Cyborg
                • Darkly
                • Quartz
                • Slate
                • Solar
                • Superhero
                • Vapor
