Vertical text alignment problem in SNES mini theme

Original post: This is a fresh installation and I've just downloaded and installed the SNES mini theme via the menu. The vertical alignment of the text is messed up and I'm not sure if it's user error or something else. There's a very old thread from 2017 which sounds like the same issue, but as far as I can tell the problem was resolved back then. This is what I see:

Power Supply used: Official PSU
RetroPie Version Used: 4.8
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: USB keyboard
Controller used: 8bitdo Pro+ via Bluetooth
RPi output resolution is 1080p/60Hz via HDMI.
