      Please post some details about your setup, as requessted in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

      Get a verbose log from running the lr-puae-2021 core and post the resulting log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) on pastebin.com

        @mitu
        Pi Model: 400
        Power Supply used: original AC Adaptor 5.1V 3.0A 15.3W
        RetroPie Version Used: 4.8.5 @ Emulationstation 2.11.2RP
        Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website

        Since the lr-puae2021 does not show a boot error only the mentioned WHDLoad message appears after switching on ("error parsing global configuration file line 28 "NoWriteInfo"), there is not much in the log, but here is the log:
        amixer: Unable to find simple control 'PCM',0
        amixer: Unable to find simple control 'PCM',0
        Parameters:
        Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-puae2021/puae2021_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/amiga/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/Aaargh!_v1.0a_0511.lha" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

          This is not a verbose log - you forgot to enable the debugging info.

              I don't see any errors in the list that would affect the game and also the error you mentioned - can you try removing the /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/amiga/WHDLoad folder and try again starting the game ?

                @mitu Yes I deleted the WHDLoad folder, this does not solve the problem. I would like to remind that with Amiberry games from amiga work (WHDLoad, adf,etc), and on lr-puae2021 only games from adfs works.
                le-puae2021 WHDLoad error

                Searching around the internet for help I found this solution:
                " In the ...\Retroarch\System folder theres a file called WHDLoad.prefs
                Line 28 funnily enough says NoWriteInfo
                just comment that line out with a ; and hey presto! "
                but it does not work in my case.
                I should also add that with amiberry it didn't work at first either, but I found a video on yt that helped to solve the problem, it concerned problems with the permissions of a file. Below is the link to the video.

                  I'm aware of that - you mentioned already. Can you check if you have any WHDLoad configurations in the system folder (/home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS) ?

                    @mitu It works!
                    I had a WHDLoade.prefs file in the folder /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS and here I edited line 28 of No WriteInfo adding ";"

                    Thank You very much for Your time and willingness to help :)

                      Can you check by starting other games that the prefs file is not re-created with the wrong info ?

                        @mitu I've been rebooting RetroPie, running more than 10 games including CD32 images, and everything works fine so far.
                        I still have a question - does lr-puae 2021 support overlays? I'm asking because I have set it up and it is not displayed.

                          Should support it, this is a RetroArch feature - not core dependant.
